Book a coach seat for the Stand Up for Southampton Demo

Its really important that we get a lot of local people from Southampton to come to London on 31 January 2013 and tell Channel 4 not to screen this proposed TV show because of the detrimental effects it will leave behind.

David and Goliath’ battle

There is a ‘David and Goliath’ battle taking place in Southampton between local residents and community leaders against Channel 4. The locals have continually called on the Broadcaster to stop the documentary makers, Love Productions from filming of a controversial TV programme called ‘Immigration Street’. The locals feel the show will have a negative impact in Southampton, stigmatise and exploit local people and increase racism and violence. Channel 4 is planning to screen 'Immigration Street'. A controversial TV programme, produced by 'Benefit Street' film company Love Productions.
